Make it easy for taxpayers, DGT provides OTP feature to send SMS

The purpose of the OTP SMS feature

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) wants to improve service convenience to taxpayers by adding a one time password (OTP) sending feature via Short Message Service (SMS). This feature of sending OTP via SMS is an alternative service besides sending tokens (verification code) via email. During the peak time of service, it takes a long time for sending verification codes to be received by taxpayers. Therefore, a verification code delivery method is needed that can make it easier for taxpayers, one of which is using the SMS method via a cellular operator.

Please note that to take advantage of this feature, mobile operators will charge SMS delivery service fees to SMS recipients. As of this writing, the SMS OTP feature can only be used for the time being by subscribers of Telkomsel and Indosat cellular operators.
